Sexy or What?

By Frederick Corrigan

I enter the room and in the dim light, I see you sitting there. We’ve been here before; in fact we’ve spent many hours together. Sometimes I had to treat you rather rough, but today would be different.

I can’t help but feel my heart beat increase, as I touch your slender limbs. It’s taken so long to get comfortable holding you.

Your skin tone is so invigorating and I can’t wait for our coming out party. No, No, not yet, we have more to do.

I turn the lights up brighter and my eyes blink as the light reflects off of your slender statue. Who knew that you would be this delicate? My hands shake for fear of breaking you as I caress your body.

I remember when you weren’t as slender and I worried that I wouldn’t be able to bring you forth to delight the world. Now, as I hold you and turn you in the bright light, you make me smile with the pleasure of your company.

Why have we developed this relationship?

What are we trying to prove?

Is it enough for us just to be?

So many questions and I don’t know the answers.

Can I call you sexy? Someone said that sexy is: “generally attractive and interesting”. You’re very interesting and I don’t THINK that you’re attractive---I KNOW that you’re beautiful!

Oh wait, I almost forgot. Here my lovely, I brought you some roses. I love the way you hold flowers with your tender up-swept limbs.

Here, let me take your picture, so that I have a remembrance of our time together in this room. The picture won’t reveal how I’ve caressed your very being to bring us to today. That matters not, as we know from whence you came. Our time together will be rewarded by the pleasures and learning that we have shared.

Let me take the flowers, so that I can take your picture in your natural stance. Ah, you do shine!

Thank you, now we’ll take one with the flowers. My, aren’t you attractive and interesting. You sure are sexy!

Now it’s time to come out into the world. I don’t think my wife knows how much time we have spent together. I know that she couldn’t know the satisfaction I feel that you belong to her.

From a block of maple wood 4” X 4” X 15”, you have become a BUD VASE.

Can you believe it? You’re my thought, my design and my completed wood carving.

Hold the roses proudly and give pleasure.

Are you sexy or what?

Contributor's Note

The writer is a self-taught woodcarver and spent 40 hours producing the maple vase.
The roses are also wood, but not made by the writer.

Frederick, you sly devil. You should be writing for Harlequin! LOL Seriously, your bud vase is amazing. Beautiful work.

You have a gift for suspense. Write a romance thriller.

I was salivating as I read it, even though I KNEW there would be a surprise revelation. GREAT intel and GREAT wooden vase. I thoroughly enjoyed my woodworking classes in school - the breadboard I made is STILL in my possession as is my old wooden pencil case with the sliding lid. I received top marks for my efforts as YOU, Fred, ALSO get for YOUR effort here.

Thank you for your support and your comments, John.
See you on the intel.

I was getting a mental work out trying to figure out what this sexy thing would be. That is a lovely vase!

I can totally relate to this article and this sense of humor. The sign on the side of my truck says WoodFloorist.com with the two o's in wood being pictures of the ends of logs and the two o's in floorist being flowers. On more than one occasion I have had people thinking I am delivering flowers. I weave my sense of humor in with my work which makes it not "work" at all.
Franklyn My picture is on a $100 bill.

"the light reflects off of your slender statue" - what an intriguing line. I'm still mystified by it.

Oh my!!! You really had me going on that for awhile. I thought I was reading one of those dime novels until you pulled the "punchline". But yes, you are doing something that you love, and creating something that can be construed as loving. That is sexy indeed. Thanks.

Looks amazing, and carved - and written about - with love. And yes, that vase is HOT. I wish the photos were a tad larger and more revealing so I could ogle it more.

You tell that vase of yours that if you don't treat her right, I've got a mantelpiece that she'll be v-e-r-y happy on!
